My Educational Profile

My name is Lindsey; I am a junior here at Lock Haven University. I am majoring in Elementary Education with minors in Reading and Special Education.

By the end of this course, I expect to know more about technology and feel more comfortable using it during my personal and professional time. My goal is to make using technology less like an odyssey and more like a walk in the park.

I am good with children. I have had a lot of experience with taking care of my siblings and neighbors. I enjoy teaching them, reading with them, doing crafts and exploring outside with them.

During my learning, I have used Smart Boards, ELMO’s, scanners, and the Internet. On the Internet, I have used resources such as journal databases, Livetext, YouTube, and more.

In my profession, I have used ELMO’s and overhead projectors. I plan to broaden my use of technology by using Smart Boards. My students will use a variety of different resources on the Internet, including Study Island, EBSCO, and others found on the school website. I will use videos from YouTube as tools in some of my lessons for those who learn visually.
